Tantauco Park

We are an Official Tour Operator for the largest and southernmost park on the Island of Chiloe, Tantauco Park.
Tantauco is located in the farthest and wildest territory of the Great Island of the Chiloé Archipelago, in what is reckoned as the northern border of Chilean Patagonia. It is made up of evergreen forests, millennial cypress groves, bog plains from the last glacial period, and imposing lakes and rivers, all along a 118,000-hectare territory.

This 5 or 6 day 52KM trek through the park is one of the emblematic and most popular trails. We offer it on a private basis

We will pick you up at your hotel in Castro and drive to a landing strip where we will get on a Cessna plane and fly for about 45 minutes to Inio, the most isolated community of the island where we will trek some of the iconic off-the-beaten-track trails, visit its wooden lighthouse built entirely in local Guaitecas Cypress. Lunch will be at a local's home and we will be flying back to Castro arriving at around 5:00 - 5:30 pm
